L'album rimasterizzato sarà pubblicato in una edizione da 3 CD con l'album, un CD "Demos & Roughs" e la compilation live di 13 tracce "Wherever We May Roam".
Conosciuto come The Black Album, il quinto album omonimo dei Metallica è stato a lungo uno dei più grandi e importanti album pubblicati nella storia della musica: acclamato dalla critica, l'album non solo ha portato la band al primo posto nelle classifiche degli album in 10 paesi nel 1991 - solo negli States, è rimasto al top per quattro settimane - ma anche tutta una serie di singoli di successo: "Enter Sandman", "The Unforgiven", "Nothing Else Matters", "Wherever I May Roam" e "Sad But True”.
Per celebrare il 30° anniversario di questo iconico traguardo, che è stato premiato con un GRAMMY e 16 dischi di platino USA (4 dischi di platino DE), è ora in uscita la nuova edizione rimasterizzata definitiva di The Black Album.
